A weekend of firsts

This weekend Tim  joined us for the Hash...the weekly Saturday afternoon hike. Okay, so he didn't hike, but he did sleep soundly while bouncing up and down along the trail. It was also his first visit to Sunday morning church.

Timothy at 6 weeks old

Auntie

I'm sure she has a real name, but everyone knows her as "Auntie." The full-time nanny of our teammates who are in the States until January, she is now available to come babysit Tim a few hours a week. She's obviously gifted with children, especially babies -- it's fun to watch her and Timothy enjoy one other's company. She even took time to teach Beth how to carry Tim on her back, African-style.

First (month) Birthday

Several expat ladies in town got together to throw a shower for Beth. It coincided with Tim's first birthday. One of them even made a cake with a big "T" on it. We feel happy to part of this loving community.

Outdoor activities

We enjoy our Saturday afternoon hikes with the "Hash House Harriers" Tim has not yet gone with us, but probably will soon. However, we won't be pushing the stroller our team mates are letting us use--sometimes the terrain is just too sandy--or rocky.
